Are we all born the same as humans and then have our characterstics..
....built in to us; through influences?
Are we born a blank canvas with our personalities formed by our parents input, schooling, education, society (friends), role models, music, and materialism as well as the positive and negative experiences we encounter in life? Do we all keep growing/changing as we go through life due to the above?
Naturally genetics must also inevitably play a part; but to what extent?
Take this for example; I have two cousin brothers, one year apart, they were raised by my auntie and uncle within the same house, neighbourhood, grounding, music influence and all that other malarkey... yet they couldn't be more distinctly different from each another.
How do you go about explaining this? If its a mixture of influences and genetics that form a person's overall personality, why are brothers and even twins so often different in many ways?
Is it most realistic to suggest the foundations to our personality are formed from the day we are born to the tender age of 1/2? May be pushing it further than that and saying 6? After all we are @ our most impressionable in these years.
What about soul? Is our soul born from the day we are born? Is soul something you only truly hold when you've discovered/found yourself as a person / individual? Or is it something only black R&B singers can possess? Lol

Incorrect, you are at least too deep for Mangoshake. Possibly the internet, also.

It's a four line poem, son. Not by me.
If you think it was posted to seem deep, I think you need to revise your understanding of the word.

Being deep has nothing to do with it tbh, I'm sure if Emo+ wanted he could give you another long condescending post over the pub talk which you deem is too deep. You've probably noticed there's been no new members for a while so most folk have tackled the debate before.
Putting it briefly I'd say your experiences will always be changing you, for example curricular or otherwise, education will give you knowledge but one cannot truly capitalise upon that without experiences. All the things you've mentioned count towards your personality, we do keep changing, some more than others.
I think personal experiences certainly counter natural genetics. We maybe more impressionable at certain ages but I don't believe a persons mind cannot question what it's believed in from an early age.
Oh and that guy in your sig, I mean he's currently saying how he's "wholeheartedly committed and his future lies with the club", he says that now but factors will change that I'm afraid.

LOL! I'd like to hear about what pubs you go to, lol.
Its true, experiences will eventually over shadow out natural genetics, every person we meet influences us, more so the people we're surrounded by on a daily basis.
I do believe their are certain aspects of our personality which we can't control or change to a degree though, one of my very close friends dad died before he was even born yet he carries a series of mannerisms / gesturims that are somewhat similar to his dad. (According to his mum and other family members)
Can't be a coincidence, I reckon this goes a bit of a way to proving some are genetics and the rest are replicated or learnt.
I'm not denying Fabregas will eventually leave for Barcelona but for the next 3/4 years of his early career, he's going to try and win as much as he can with the Gooners! Trust me on this one!

Re: Are we all born the same as humans and then have our characterstics..
Yes. I think it's possible that we have innate emotional dispositions, but all aspects of what we can define as "personality" are things we absorb from other people, and/or other external influences on some level.
