The first ever car that I drove was a Vauxhall Viva back in the dizzay, back in The Land. The first car I drove after I passed my test was a Rover 214 Si. Nice car, good handling and with just a little bit of nippiness (not the Jap kind) to make driving on country roads fun.

Is this tap icon something to worry about? not engine oil is it?

Turns out to be an engine warning light. Great, just what I need.

that's an engine management light. Can be major or can be something small like a lambda sensor. Until it's error code is read at a garage you won't be able to get that removed. VW's common problem is the Lambda/o2 sensor.

Take it to a trustworthy mechanic as garage ppl tend to take the piss and explore the option more to rake money out of you.

it's a quick fix

wouldt worry about it, when it starts to run rough thats when you need to worry. it is called an engine warning light just a warning

It was a C reg Honda Accord, Manual 2 litre, i think 86/87 Model.
